  1. Can GUAM® Beauty Mud be used ALL YEAR ROUND?
    Yes it can be used in any season. We recommend an intensive treatment followed by a maintenance period with a weekly application for 4-6 months.
  2. Can GUAM® Beauty Mud be used during PREGNANCY?
    Throughout the application of GUAM® Beauty Mud, the active principles are only absorbed at skin level. During pregnancy, however, we recommend that you check with your doctor before use.
  3. Can GUAM® Beauty Mud be used while BREAST FEEDING?
    Granted that any beauty product not specifically made for use during pregnancy and breast feeding should always be used with caution during these special moments of a woman’s life, our products do not contain any ingredient that interferes with breast feeding. In addition, the topical application of the beauty product does not lead to systemic absorption. In any case, to be safe, we always recommend that you check with your doctor before use.
  4. Can skin be EXPOSED TO THE SUN after the application of GUAM® Beauty Mud?
    Exposure to sun immediately after the application of the Mud is not recommended. It is better to wait a few hours. Skin can be exposed to the sun in the morning without problems if the Mud is applied the night before.
  5. Can GUAM® Beauty Mud be used if a person suffers from CAPILLARY FRAGILITY?
    In the case of capillary fragility we suggest you first check with your doctor.  If skin is not sensitive and does not show any capillary fragility then there is no contraindication to the use of GUAM® Beauty Mud.
  6. Is strong TINGLING and REDNESS of the treated areas normal after the application of GUAM® Beauty Mud?
    It is a normal feeling because the product reactivates microcirculation in the area of application. We suggest the following two steps: 1) mix the product well before use, 2) rinse the product before the end of the 45 minutes (for example after 20/30 minutes) if tingling/itchiness is still very strong during application. The reduction in application time can be compensated with an extra application the following day.
  7. I use GUAM® Beaut Mud regularly. Lately I don’t feel the ACTIVE TINGLING any more. Why?
    The reduction of the famous “active tingling” sensation and redness is normal, and can happen after a number of applications of GUAM® Beauty Mud because the skin reacts in a different way to the functional ingredients. This external reaction is not, however, related to the functionality of the product; in fact the active ingredients (GUAM® seaweed, ivy and horse chestnut extracts, lemon and oregano essential oils) are in any case absorbed during the application and continue to carry out their action on the skin.
  8. I have purchased a tub of GUAM® Beauty Mud and the content is RATHER LIQUID. Is that normal?
    Yes. It is absolutely normal. As this is a natural product, the liquid part and essential oils tend to separate from the clay over time. For a correct application Lacote suggests that you accurately mix the product every time before use until it has a creamy texture. This instruction is clearly marked on the top of the tub.
  9. Can I use GUAM® Beauty Mud to SHAPE THE WAIST AREA?
    The classic Guam Beauty Mud treatment has been formulated to be the most effective in fighting the imperfections caused by cellulite, therefore will be at its most powerful in combating cellulite as opposed to other types of body fat.
  10. Is GUAM® Beauty Mud TESTED ON ANIMALS?
    We have never tested our products on animals. Furthermore, the law no longer allows producers of raw materials for cosmetic use to conduct animal testing. Lacote has enthusiastically welcomed this law, because it has always safeguarded natural products and made sure that its cosmetic products are not tested on animals, and has been this way from the beginning.
  11. Can I use NON-WOVEN FABRIC SHORTS instead of CLING FILM?
    Wrapping the skin with cling film is fundamental in order to optimize the efficacy of Guam Beauty Mud; the occlusive action maximizes the absorption of the active principles contained in the product into the skin.
